That collection is really beyond belief. Wow. So much stuff. I wonder how in the world he ends up with such things as NHRA Championship rings, and NHRA Walley trophies. Who would sell those items?? And what appears to be entire complete Funny Cars.

Sadly, since he died before disposing of all of it, or making sure it all goes intact to a good home, the family will no doubt sell it over 2 or 3 days by scattering it to the winds at auction. Such is the fate for all of our "stuff" that all of us collect, unless we cut loose on our things before we drop dead. Something to think about.....

you can find Superbowl rings for sale so NHRA Championship rings doesn't suprise me. Hope all that stuff goes to a good place.

Gonna venture a guess and say Mr. Haapla was big into charity auctions.

When Gilby ran his series of Jungle tribute cars early 2000s Randy, who evidently fell in love with the red car with Pam on the side, called Gilby and made him an offer he couldn't refuse and Bob sold him the body. We spent two days building a crate to protect it from damage and Randy sent a service to transport it from NC to California. Don't know how much the total cost was but it was a lot, evidently Randy had a lot of $$$, wonder where he got his money?

Just found this, Randy with Wayne Jesel.
