You don't want to race in Gainesville in September. It's the height of tropical storm season, ,IT WILL RAIN.

October is a different story weather starts to calm down by then.

Better schedule around Gator football... talk about trouble finding a hotel room :)

There's no place like Charlotte in the fall! If you don't believe me just drop in at the Goodguys show at the Speedway late next month. A new Bruton Smith drag strip will only enhance the area's entertainment. Charlotte is a mecca unto it's own.

Charlotte would be good. If the schedules didn't conflct, there would probably be good crossover with the NASCAR crowd.........

Just a thought.. if they (NHRA) don't have a place by next yr.. if its just 1 yr why not race up here in Westchester County on the Saw Mill Parkway there is a nice 1/4 mile straightaway near Chappaqa (Hillary Clinton and Al Gore (The Tree Hugger) are both big Nitro fans.. and maybe Bill & Hill can pull a few strings and we can have it here... I'm sure Ol' Al would just love the smell of Nitro in the morning :..

See I'm old and senile.. but still thinking :) PJ help me out.. ...! Say PJ while I have your attention, can you explain this new thing I've seen mentioned once or twice on the NHRA site.. something about a "Countdown" One of the announcers I think his name is Paul Pagge or Paege (not sure of spelling) but he talks funny on TV and he also has mentioned the "Countdown" on occasion... This Countdown thingie must be pretty important for it to me mentioned on TV !! PJ once again thanks for any help you can give me in this area..

DRO has spy shots of Bruton's new dragstrip, apparently it's for real and well underway.
