Hats off to EVERYONE who valiantly tried to make the 2025 Nhra Finals at the IN-N-Out Burger Dragstrip in Pomona California this weekend a success. Especially the Safety Safari, Emergency Personnel, Track Personnel, Announcers, Vendors, Fans, all the Competitors and Crew Members and winners and losers who traveled near and far and endured a Atmospheric River and a weekend they will probably never forget. Thoughts and best wishes to all the residents of S. California who have been impacted. As I watched the historical Nhra films on nhra.tv today during the weather delay I thought what a fabulous, incredible sport Nhra drag racing has been for 74 years. Is it perfect? No, no professional sport is especially an outdoor one. Is it broken? No. Do things need fixing? Sure, they always have and always will. It's like the t-shirt that says I Maybe Old But I Got To See All The Cool Bands! Well I maybe "getting" old but I got to see a bunch of the great drivers who are either gone or retired and some really great racing. Now we have the future professional stars and the weekend warriors from the hundreds of small town tracks across America. And I've loved almost every minute of it (except for the tragedy). THANK YOU Nhra, can't wait for 2026.

Yessir, and no one could have said it better. We can complain about policies and rules, preferences and circumstances that “need fixing”, but also remember to thank NHRA and all the sponsors and racers who invest in this great sport.
