Do any of you have a picture of a TF crank? I have looked at Winberg's site (no pictures), Byrant (very abbreviated web page), AJPE (fuzzy photos, no enough detail) and googled left and right for TF crank pictures. No joy. I just want to see what goes into the belly of the beast.

Thanks in advance!

Randy, thanks for the picture. Is that from your TA/FC?

No. I did a quick internet search and it popped up. Mine have big cracks on number one and burned up rear main journals (just kidding). This is exactly what they look like except some teams are running splined hubs on the front.

Wow. You must have entered the right parameters for the search as I did not find anything as nice as this my search. Anyway, thanks again!

I wonder why they don't use 180-degree cranks?

They shake, and vibrate enough as it is. Warren Johnson tried a 180deg "flat" crank in IHRA pro stock years ago, wasn't any better, plus it shook everything loose in the car after every pass. A flat crank is inherently un-balanceable.

we run splined cranks instead of key way because its much easier to get front hub off, sometimes the crank welds itself to the front hub and the splined cranks dont seem to do that.

Was around when Gary Beck was racing, he ran a 180 degree crank for a while, oddest sounding engine you ever heard, sounded like a straight 6
