The last thing I would do is stop following my favorite sports team, or let it interfere with anything, simply because I didn't like the way an announcer called balls and strikes, or screamed GOOOOOOAAAAL, if I were into that. Muchless go on social media and complain about, and bash - bash - bash, anyone.

Years of moaning about T-Ped has not changed a thing for you guys. So why continuously keep doing it?
I will never understand it. There are much bigger things that bug me. I enjoy and appreciate each and every one of them. Each bring their own style, like it or not, it affects nothing in my love and passion for the most incredible sport on the planet.

Jiminy Christmas ~ seek an alternative, or counseling.

we are all pretty passionate about the sport but we all have opinions.

Glad is doesn't bug you . But it does me and it effects my views on watching a race , and if I wanna speak my peace I will.

on a recent haddock video, they were qualifying in gainesville. McKailen talked about them scuffing new tires for big teams on their Q runs.
- assuming this adds yet another variable to the tuneup that makes it more difficult to make a good pass?
- they are paid by the larger teams to do this? or paid in used parts? or what is the arrangement?
- guessing they aren't the only ones doing this?

Good question. My question is, All of these big teams have all of these testing dynos and the latest and greatest things, why don't they come up with a piece of equipment that wears in the slicks? Why don't they send the tires over to the Safety Safari to put on their track prepper to wear them in?

New tires typically have less rollout and a stiffer sidewall. Most teams like a tire that has been run, the sidewall is softer and more forgiving, and the rollout settles in.
There are teams that run good with new tires on every run. This also creates a cash savings for the team breaking in tires, as they get to run tires for free all weekend.

There's nothing that simulates the actual cycle a top fuel tire goes through.

Great post Ray. Yes, we are all entitled to our opinions. And yes, there are a 1000 things we can pick on that could be done different or better. But it just seems like there are a lot of people who focus on what's wrong with drag racing. In all fairness, I've seen threads on social media where people are griping in a similar way about NASCAR, F1, etc. With all the s**t being thrown at us these days, including a government trying to convince us that EVs are going to save the world, I'm just grateful we still have this badass sport to watch and participate in.
