yeah he did and he is fine. It was the funny car nationals, so his first pass was in the FC, blew a burst panel, the announcer said it damaged the body so in order to put on a show for the fans he pulled the dragster out. Engine let go at the finish line and he went long into the dirt.

They brought him back up the return road, which was opposite side of the track from me, front didn't look bad but the wing took some damage....not sure how

It confuses me how he can be doing as well as he's doing in both classes without any sponsorship on his car (s).

But I do like how he brings both and decides what class will reap the biggest rewards. It's a great angle and I have enjoyed watching him this season.

If I heard right he tunes both himself also.......MAN Props to Terry.

Terry has (as someone I know who knows Terry all too well puts it) nitro in the veins. He would rather drive a nitro car than eat. He scraps, and scrapes, and goes without, and gets every nickle he can from any source he can just so that he can keep on making passes. He knows a ton about the cars, what he doesn't know he taps some of the best minds in the sport (he and Densham are close, for example), and he relies on some of the most dedicated volunteers for help.

If you want to see nitro done "the old fashioned way", stop by Terry's pit at any event. But don't get too close or you'll find yourself at the parts washer pretty quick. ;)

I was pitted next to Terry all weekend and got to know his crew. GREAT bunch of guys! Ya, I don't know how he does it, tore up $1000,s of stuff. Wish you guys the best!

I hope Terry is out next year as well and with a sponsor,i really think he could do some damage!! He is obviously dedicated!! Saw him In reading was going to see if they wanted some help in the pits, but i figured id just be a bother? Good luck Terry!!

A friend of mine works with him, and I'm almost positive when I talked to him after Indy that he was going somewhere to actually have the wing repaired, because they were having problems with it.

It's called getting good parts from Kalitta for cheap!

The best parts in the world don't put themselves together. Terry knows what he's doing. :) Really hope a sponsor steps up as that team is definitely the hardest working bunch of guys out there.

I went and picked Terry's rig up on wensday at a paint shop where the dragster was getting a new paint job for the Indy race. On tuesday the day after the race I was getting ready to take Bob Bode's rig back to Chicago when Terry asked me if I had time to drop his wing off in northern Ind to get repaired. I did not have time because I had to catch a flight out of Chicago back to California. I think one of his crew guy's took it up to get repaired. Terry does a good job with the budget he has and he has always treated me great. We pit next to Terry's team sometimes and that team works as hard as any team out there.

Didn't say Terry didn't know what he was doing, only repeating what he told me in Seattle. And that is without the help of Kalitta/Bernstein he would be parked!
