Hey, I have been meaning to ask. I was reading somewhere that Bill Sweeny was testing some zoomie headers that reduced noise. Is that true? And if so, how well did they work in terms of cutting down on the noise?
Yes, we are testing a new idea in order to cut the DB level slightly. Initial test runs showed a decrease in the sound level of between 3-5 db. Doesn't sound that much different, it just takes a little of the harshness away.
I couldn't hear a difference in the car. If you want more info, send me a PM and I will give you Smiley's phone number. He is the header builder to the stars and it is his design.
Smiley is located near the Ontario, CA airport in his shop at the rear of his home. It is dedicated to manufacturing high end headers. The muffler companies pay him to make many of the fuel cars headers.
