OK first of all I want apologize to my fellow racers and nhra safari for the oil down I truly appreciate all that the safari does to help the racers, I thought I had only banged the blower so I didn't pull to the wall which I should have just in case.
next no I am not a repeat offender that was my first oil down penalty, and yes they did boot me from the race even though it was my first penalty.
yes it was an oil line that was left plugged I'm not throwing out blame to the crew because its my fault for not double checking everything my car my fault
all the oil that came out was 2 quarts out of 19 quart pan just about all was drained in the pit, don't belive me ask nhra they stood there until I tore it down
no rods were thrown the oil came out the top after the blower studs broke, nhra reason for throwing me out was they couldn't get the oil off the track said wouldn't come up
all the oil was a 70 wt semi synthetitc why they couldn't I do not know, personally since I didn't go even half way down the track and they were cleaning both sides the complete length of the race track I think they used my oil down to address water coming up, but that's neither here nor there.
people act like I did this on purpose it cost me the race a $500 dollar fine plus getting booted out without a chance to qualify and recoop my money plus an engine, time off work and 13 hour drive anybody that races alcohol knows the cost. We do this out of our pocket with very little help.
Again I'm sorry for the oil down and if carl Lowell wants to give me a pit side ass whooping if I get my motor back together I will be at charolette if not the indy regional so just bring your shit on to which ever place is convenient for you.
