Sift all dry ingredients
Add…1 Cup oil
4 Eggs
1 Teaspoon baking soda
1 Cup buttermilk
Mix well
Add…1 Cup cooked, chopped prunes and 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
Bake 2 hours at 275 in greased tube pan
Icing...1 Stick butter or margarine
1 Cup sugar
½ Cup buttermilk
½ Teaspoon baking soda
Boil all the above in a 2 quart pan for 1 minute and pour over cake while cake and icing are hot. Let cool in pan.
