Erica is on the entry list for Sonoma, hopefully she will be there.
Tell it like it is brother, those WJ haters just don't understand. I'll tell you this,I long for the days when WJ was really speaking his mind unlike the boring @$$ crap we're hearing now.![]()
I don't know how the PGA works but, at least, they pay decent prize money to ensure a full field for their show (and the top Pro Golfer's biggest cash outlay seems to be private jet travel).![]()
Golf courses are a way more profitable entity than a drag strip and golf is a far more watched and participated in sport.
There's always debate about prizemoney, but NHRA is a not-for-profit in theory. There's not some big Scrooge McDuck money bin with all the money inside....)
I think she is a lock to stay in the Countdown ... So I figure they will be at Indy and then run the Countdown races and see what happens in regards to the Championship. In that light, it is smart to save a few bucks now to make a charge later. Also, it gives the engine guys that much more time in the shop with the primary motors and Connolly that much more time to figure out the chassis setup.
At least this is what I HOPE is happening.
Another thing, all of those wanting WJ to hang it up,I hope you enjoy watching AJ making a rd 1 bye run. It amazes me that the calls for WJ to quit because he may not be on top of his game right now clap and cheer for the Greek when he runs. You better hope that one of P/S all time greats, his son and others get back out there or the class could become extinct due to the lack of participation.
There would be a second round bye, but not two first round byes.Only 14 cars made qualifying passes in the first round at Sonoma. If 14 is all that will be there, two cars get to make first round singles, and that's a bad indicator of the class' health.
I figured Denver had less than a full field because of the big (expensive) changes that need to be made to run there.
But, a less than full field at a great near sea-level track like Sonoma is really sad.

I see she's on the entry list for Brainerd. I know that doesn't mean she'll be there for sure though. Just curious, don't they have to pay an entry fee to be put on the entry list? If so it wouldn't make any sense to pay that money then not show up.
