How bout them Ducks?

How about them Oregon Ducks? 1. They had NO business going to a bowl. 2. They had no business even going on to the field against BYU! This team should be in the Big Sky Conference the way have been playing lately. They started so well and then the air got let out of their tires some how.

As an Oregonian I am making a formal appology to ESPN for unprepared they were. Penn State, now thats a team.
 
I enjoy watching the Ducks and the Beavers anytime I can. But come on Ducks, I'll admit it set me back a bit when I was informed it cost $2400 to paint one Oregon helmet for the season (with all the different schemes).

So are all you Wolverine fans pulling against the Buckeyes or what! Or are you sticking with the Big Ten? Go Gators!

I liked how the local paper put it. The Ducks seemed more interested in fashon then football these days. This was also brought up on the post-game show.

BTW I love the diamond plate on the sleaves. How tacky.

I'm pulling for the Big Ten all the way. I'm looking forward to a gator loss (they shouldn't be there in the first place!) ... but NEVER a buckeye win! ;) :p

Anyone else having trouble getting the "Bowl Mania" page to load? I tried with different browsers. It allows me to enter my user name and password but simply loops back to that page again after I click the enter button.

EDIT: Nevermind... It seems fine now!!! Move along, nothing to see here!!:D

Looks like I might have been doing a lot better if I had gotten in before the first two games were over. I am 4-1 on the games I did pick, though. Sure that will change soon, though. I'm not very good at this kinda thing.

I'm not either. I am 5-2 but just let the confidence scorer default so my big games will come in a week or so. Still fun to look though.
 
The Oregon State Beavers who were predicted by the so-called experts to be the doormat of the PAC-10, faced some tough competiton in the late season and beat a tough USC team, a less then honorable Hawaii team in the WAC, and the happless Ducks who were predicted by some to be the darlings of the Pac 10 and make it all the way to the Rose Bowl (some folks knew better). While the Ducks floundered and lost their last four games, they were still dangerous and over-achieved by nearly beating Oregon State. But, just as they lost their last four Bowl games this pathetic Oregon team came back to earth as reality set in and they never had a chance. That didn't stop the bowl commission from giving this fashionable team another chance to embarrass themselves on TV again when they flopped big time against a good BYU team in the Las Vagas Bowl.

Now that the floundering Ducks who embarrassed themselves and the entire nation on ESPN (oops already mentioned that) are out of the way, all the attention goes to the mighty Beavs. Can they win the Sun Bowl? Hell Yes they can, and under Mike Riley they will find a way to get it done. If it Quaks like a duck then it's a Duck. But if there's damn good defense, a damn good kicking game, and a damn good quarterback then it's a Beaver.

The Ducks ribbing is all in fun. They get all the publicity around here so as a Beaver it's fun to whack'em onmce in a while.

Very, Very suprised Wolverine fans pulling for the Buckeyes on any stage. Being a UVA guy, I can't envison a situation where I would pull for UNC or VaTech!

no no no not pulling for Ohio State.

I do hope that:
the big ten does well
the sec does horrible (except lsu, just because they play notre dumb)
that Michigan blows away USC something like 315 1/2 to -17
that next year college football goes to a real playoff system and that NHRA does away with their fake one
