Saturday seemed like a waste of time and $$ for all the Pros. Was the track prep to blame ? Or what was the problem.

they tend to test the limit on a hot track on Saturday if they are solidly in the field

I haven’t sat and watched the tv coverage of one of these races in a very long time. Watching the finals show now… about 25 minutes into the show and they haven’t shown one burnout?? They cut right to the cars being staged?? Is that a time saving issue? That’s dumb. Fans want to see that. Atleast show ONE pair of cars doing it. Not a good representation of the race day fan experience. That’s my rant for the day.

Can someone speak to this? I heard there was an industry wide problem, and I believe I heard there were valve seats falling out. That could be wrong.

There is a valetrain issue, most think there is a bad batch of parts. But you can't tell by looking at them. Even the guys in Australia were talking about it last week.

Weirdness of the MotorPlex timing system compared to other tracks. I heard Galvin and Costello talking about it on Friday and they mentioned that it bites several drivers every year at this event.

They do not use compulink which is used at all other nationals events. I believe they use port a tree. So there is so,e staging differences between the two.

Kind of makes it interesting for its uniqueness on the tour, that it ISN’T Compulink and tends to trip people up.

TV was rushed and pretty bad, as expected from NHRA. I was expecting a better show due to being the last national broadcast this year, and NHRA looking for big ratings.
If NHRA.TV ever fixes their car audio issue, they would be miles ahead of Fox. Courtney and Ida are killing it in the booth, Joe and Jason are adequate, and The Low Zone is a pretty decent clown

Too bad the weather sucks. Although Britanny’s 340 was nice, this track is not performing to its standards with sultry air.

There's been some exceptions but I'm convinced the "Man Upstairs" is no fan of championship drag racing. Year after year it seems as if the temps are consistently 10-15 degrees above normal which makes an otherwise pleasant experience and a favorable racing environment not so much. I'd prefer to just watch the race on television rather than watch a session where any one of the Pro Stocks could have qualified in Funny Car, which was literally the case a few years back when the track temp was over 140.

I'm thankful for the coverage but I flat don't understand the deal with the audio. I don't have NHRA.tv but I hear everyone complaining about the sound. I know it sucks on Fox and Fox Sports and now they play background music constantly which only makes it worse. There's countless YT videos of nitro warmups and passes, some so good that other than the physical impact it's almost like being there in person. So it IS doable. Listen to this cackle and throttle whack (0:45):

I still dont know why the nhratv car sounds are so horrible,been like that forever,they know its an issue,maybe they cant figure it out lol. Ive said for years,fix the sound ill subscribe,or mute the talkers that never shut up

Over the years I have sent NHRA and NHRA.TV videos like you have posted, made dozens of phone calls and emailed tech support, broadcasting, corporate and media relations dozens of times
Never had ONE response from anybody... not ONE in years. Arrogance beyond belief

Cancelled too expensive streaming services long ago so I watch on nhra tv. Fox is really not broadcasting the last two races?!!
