Yes. I have worked in the ad tech industry since 2020 and the ratings boost you get from being a lead in or lead out program to an NFL game in this country is pretty much unachievable through any other means. In 2025, out of the top 100 rated telecasts, more than half of them were NFL games. This makes the timeslots surrounding them very valuable to the networks because for them, ratings = ad revenue regardless of how they are achieved. So Fox giving the NHRA a timeslot that is coveted by many others means they see value in the programming and for NHRA it gives them an opportunity for exposure that is pretty much unattainable any other way. You can call it coat tail riding if you'd like (which it basically is) but the world is full of successful people who got their opportunities riding the coat tails of other people and then ran with it.
