Spiering qualifies Eaton Road Warrior third for IHRA finals at Epping

EPPING, NH (September 9, 2006) – Carl Spiering driving the Eaton Electrical Supercharged Pro Modified Chevrolet Camaro secured third position during the final qualifying sessions at New England Dragway’s International Hot Rod (IHRA) eMax Drag Racing Series Amalie Oil North American Nationals in Epping, New Hampshire on Saturday.

“We ran a 6.13-second, 232.23-mph in the first round of qualifying, a 6.15-second, 231.83-mph in the second round which was the best run of that session and backed it up with a 6.16-second 231.36-mph in the final session,” explained Carl Spiering from Jordan Station, Ontario. “If I can stay on top of my game with the tree tomorrow we should be in good shape.”

“What can I say? We really need to win one of these deals, it’s been way too long,” added Spiering. “I’m focused, my team is better than ever and the Eaton Road Warrior is one fast hot rod, bring ‘em on, we’re ready.”

The Carl Spiering Motorsports entry will face Danny Rowe’s 1963 Corvette from Rossville , GA in the first round of the final eliminations on Sunday starting at 11:00 a.m. EST.

The Amalie Oil North American Nationals presented by New England Dodge Dealers, round nine of the 11-event International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) eMax Drag Racing Series is taking place at New England Dragway located in Epping , New Hampshire .
