“We’ve had some bad luck this season and we all want to finish things off with a win.”

ROCKINGHAM, North Carolina (October 21, 2006) – Carl Spiering secured third position in the Eaton Electrical Supercharged Pro Modified Chevrolet Camaro during the final qualifying sessions in Rockingham , North Carolina .

“We made three solid qualifying runs in the Eaton Road Warrior this weekend,” said Carl Spiering. “In the first lap of qualifying on Friday we ran 6.084-seconds at 234.00 mph. That was pretty stout, but then we backed it up today with 6.047-second 235.97-mph pass in the second qualifier and then we ripped a 6.036 seconds at 232.99-mph on the final run of qualifying.”

The Carl Spiering Motorsports entry will face number eleven qualifier Eddie Ware from Marietta , GA and his 1967 Camaro in the first round of the final eliminations on Sunday starting at 11:00 a.m. EST.

“I’m proud of my team, the guys have worked hard all year and never gave up,” added Spiering, the 41-year old driver from Jordan Station, Ontario . “We’ve had some bad luck this season and we all want to finish things off with a win.”

The Universal Technical Institute World Finals, International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) eMax Nitro Jam™ Drag Racing Series is taking place at Rockingham Dragway in Rockingham , North Carolina .
