Spiering’s Eaton Road Warrior Team still a factor at Rockingham
“We can make things interesting for the competition”

JORDAN STATION, ON (October 16, 2006) – While mathematically still in the hunt, Carl Spiering’s chances for the International Hot Rod Association’s Pro Modified title are a long shot. But Spiering and his Eaton Electrical Supercharged Pro Modified Camaro plan to make their mark in the final IHRA event of the 2006 season.

Spiering and his team are ready to finish off the season at Rockingham in the Universal Technical Institute World Finals, the last round of the 11-race IHRA eMax Nitro Jam™ Drag Racing Series this year.

“We are looking forward to finishing the season at Rockingham with a good qualifying position and going some rounds with the Eaton Road Warrior,” said Spiering, the 41-year old driver from Jordan Station, Ontario, and one of the top Canadians in the stout field of Pro Modifieds. “All things considered with the crash at the start of the season, we’ve had a good year and we’ll see if we can make things interesting for our competitors.”

The upcoming event will be held October 19-21 at Rockingham Dragway in Rockingham, North Carolina.

“We are currently sixth in the points and a long shot for the title,” added Spiering. “We are 103 points off the pace heading into the final race and we’re at a huge disadvantage, but, with a good performance, we can mix things up for the competition.”
