SP TOOLS EXTENDS MOTORSPORT MARKETING PROGRAM

SP Tools have today (5th February) announced that they will be extending their foray into motorsport marketing in 2008.

Currently in Australia SP Tools is a naming right sponsor with industry leading Drag Racing team Brett Stevens Racing, with the SP Racing livery adorning the teams third BF Ford Falcon Top Doorslammer driven by Steve Packman.

As well as this, SP has been involved for many years with numerous V8Supercar teams via their SP AIR range of air tools.

In 2008, SP Tools have now also stepped up as the naming-rights sponsor on the Stone Brothers Racing number nine BF Ford Falcon V8 Supercar entry, to be driven by Shane van Gisbergen, following eight years as an associate sponsor of the Gold Coast based team.

The unveiling of the new car occurred at the SP Tools headquarters in Acacia Ridge, QLD, with the involvement of both Stone Brothers Racing and Brett Stevens Racing, bring together the entire SP Racing motorsport program for the first time.

Kevin Davis, Managing Director of SP, says the synergy between SP Tools and the two race teams is spot on.

"Stone Brothers Racing and Brett Stevens Racing have been using SP Tools for 12 months now and the feedback we get from the teams has proven immensely valuable to us in making the SP Tool product even better," Davis said.

"It is an exciting time for us and we couldn't be more excited for our consumers, fans and everyone who loves motorsport."
