Hey Babe! Let's go to Hawaii.... to race. The next 5 seconds you'll know if you will live or not. :)

Girlfriend has been wanting to go, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to get a drag car into my luggage :)

Believe it or not, there are some fast cars over on the islands. We (Valley Head Service) have several customers there and they're really in to racing. Lots of VWs and imports.

Here are some Top Dragsters going into the 6's at the Hilo track.

Thanks Gino. That was some cool video. Reminded me that one time at Pomona, probably 1970's, a blown car came from Hawaii to race the Winternats. I was excited to see the car, almost like it was from another country. Spacing on the driver, but it was cool to see him run. I think he was competitive, but it was expensive to bring the car to the mainland, so didn't see him race much.

Earlier this year there were a couple of race teams that came over from Hawaii with their cars and ran the March Meet. Kevin Rapozo of Kapoa HI brought his 7.0 Pro FED and another guy who broke his altered before qualifying began

Derrick Moreira of Keaau HI, ran his '32 Bantam at this year's CHRR in 7.0 Pro and qualified # 6 with a 7.049. He made it to the second round I think.

I wish NHRA would make a 6.90 class. A lot of the 7.0 cars could run that very easy. Of course, it might cut into T/D and T/S, but then T/D is getting some really quick fields, and 6.90 won't even qualify anymore. Just my 2 cents.
