This is the second story in a row that calls it Illegal Street racing
The headline on the main page of CNN says "Illegal racing reaching 'ridiculous' levels"
The story itself has the headline of "Addicted to the rush of the race"

If a major news outlet such as CNN gets it maybe there is hope.

You know I started Drag Racing in late 60's and it started on the street. We would drive 15 to 20 miles to get to where we did our racing. We were very careful and orderly and we never had an incident where someone got hurt. Don't get me wrong I am all for racing on the track and not on the street. Today there is a lot more congestion on streets and kids today think they can race at every stop light and blvd in town. The cities would be a lot better off if they would offer zoning so that local tracks can be open rather than shutting them down. California did this in the L.A. area in the 70's and it worked.
