I'm sure many of you who didn't know who she was googled her like I did. Of course facebook popped up and their was a video reel of her in a skimpy bikini with a link to OnlyFans. Some have said their not hard core some have said they are. Don't care not going their, but hope she's just doing what you can see on her facebook page given her complaint posted here. Nhra was definately asleep at the wheel for 2 years but maybe she's wrong too?!! Pop some corn and let the circus continue....

Alan, I understand and respect your point. Got great respect for you and what you do, have chatted with you in the pits a few times and talked a little K Code Mustang with you. My point is the NHRA banned a sponsor that was obviously OK with them for the past two seasons and now doesn't have the guts to admit that they had no idea for two years who this company was. I might understand it is wzs on the door of a K/SA car but it's been on a TAD, the top.level car in the sportsmen ranks and her car has been on several televised sportsmen shows in the past. You know the cost to run one of these cars and how difficult getting sponsorship is. All I expect is for the NHRA to own it, publicly state they made an error snd not just silently walk away and hope nobody noticed. Us nobody's, out here, did notice. Have a great season and hope to cross paths and chat again this year.

John, your assuming that this just happened overnight
Mike, according to her post it sounds like it pretty much sounds like it did. And the fact that the NHRA has not issued a single statement about it hasn't changed. Transparency would be good, just my humble opinion.

I'm betting quite likely that NHRA had no idea what the company OnlyFans was about over the last 2 years. They have many important details to stay on top of is my guess. Lame, but probably true.

I second this. Was my first thought too, only that for NHRA they probably saw the ".com" part and simply thought "tech". People have known since almost day 1 that OnlyFans is a predominantly porn site. And given how many people on this board didn't know what it was suggests that NHRA probably didn't either.

I also second the post that it's very ironic for a female to use for a sponsor a website/company that thrives on content that many women feel debases them. And it's a valid point too.

And if you think it's bad that one driver (that I also have never heard of) has had the rug pulled out from under her, go ask all the pro-stock truck drivers when it was an entire class that had the rug pulled. Still waiting on the explanation for that.

If the notice to Summer would have been in the Fall of 2024 we probably wouldn't have heard about this. But notifying her that her sponsor will not be allowed in January? What's next, making these types of decisions as competitors come thru the gates at the Gators? Timing is everything.

i believe the army sponsorship was lost at the last moment as well. not from nhra, but from army.
the season ends. folks go on vacations, then the holidays. stuff happens. a decision was made about a sponsor questionable
to the fanbase, racers, and sponsors. perhaps the young lady should have been more proactive with the nhra to avoid this surprise?
i am happy to see nhra rule on this sponsor. they are taking a stance for common decency.
i also think PlayNHRA should be eliminated.

if anybody really believes that the NHRA had no clue what OnlyFans is, and let it go until they found out, then I have some great ocean side property in Iowa I could see you.

Somebody complained to the right people, and that moved up the chain. Then they got rid of the sponsorship, simple as that.

Yes I believe it's entirely possible that the powers that be didn't know specifically what OnlyFans is. There are a number of people on this board who admitted they didn't and had to look it up. I'd wager most people over 60 wouldn't know (because it isn't something they are looking for to begin with). Not saying it is the case, but I believe it's entirely possible.

And it could be equally possible that someone or some people complained. Perhaps other female drivers is one possibility. But until they tell, and I'm not holding my breath, I'm not going to flippantly dismiss somebody's theory.

One thing either way I think we can all agree on is this whole affair yet underscores again the failure of the sanctioning body to appeal to and obtain new sponsors, a longstanding problem.

When did Sex stop selling products?? It's been around for over 150 years. It's not going to stop now or in the future.
  • Early uses of sex in advertising
    • Pearl Tobacco: In 1871, Pearl Tobacco featured a nude woman on their cigarette package cover.

    • W. Duke & Sons: In 1885, W. Duke & Sons added sexually suggestive trading cards to their cigarette packs.

    • Woodbury Facial Soap: Woodbury Facial Soap used images of romantic couples to suggest love and intimacy.
  • Sex in advertising in the 1900s and beyond
    • 1930s: Full female nudity appeared in advertising for the first time.

    • 1960s: The Summer of Love in 1967 pushed boundaries for sex in advertising.

    • 1970s: Sex in advertising became more prevalent.

    • 1920s: Sexual advertisements for cosmetics were created to target women

Breaking News!

NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) has implemented a new rule requiring all backup personnel to be fully covered, it's likely a safety measure aimed at minimizing risks during drag racing events. Backup personnel assist drivers in staging their vehicles, often in close proximity to cars emitting intense heat, debris, or chemicals. Requiring full coverage—such as fire-resistant suits, gloves, and helmets—could enhance their protection against potential hazards like fire, flying debris, or burns from hot exhaust.

Dustin, how do you know how NHRA handled this???????

Mike, according to her post it sounds like it pretty much sounds like it did. And the fact that the NHRA has not issued a single statement about it hasn't changed. Transparency would be good, just my humble opinion.
That was pretty much gonna be my answer.

The Army provided notice in July of that year they weren’t renewing. Pretty good heads up.

All your gonna hear from the NHRA is crickets. History shows that's what they do.

Couple a observations here.

The premise of this thread is that NHRA screwed over a "popular driver" yet many people here had to Google her (myself included).

Second, people say she's had the sponsor for 2 years, but I don't see her in the top 75 of the TAD points standings for 2024. Did she race in 2024 and I'm missing her name somewhere? Perhaps she was never on the radar to begin with. Or perhaps the "sponsor" was so small nobody really paid it any attention the first year or two.

Regarding the sponsorship - is it a bona fide sponsorship or her advertising her own porn page? If the latter, I'm sure she can still put a link on her racing website to direct all the thirsty guys to her noods.

And finally, we don't know how NHRA handled this because we've only heard one side of the story. I tend to agree that it's a bad (or at least awkward) look for a sport that is the most diverse of any sport to be besieged by porn advertisements.

My two cents anyway.

I think this was gonna be her 1st year in a TAD

She ran a couple races or licensed in TAD in Randy Meyer’s car if I remember right.
She has a video on Instagram from 2023 that shows an alcohol car (I think). The major "sponsor" was Swoop Motorsports. There was a small OnlyFans sticker on the car - went by quickly but didn't look too much larger than maybe 2x the size of a legal size envelope. At the time of the video she had an only fans page at @mrsswoop that the video says features her race content, fitness, modeling and her "full throttle lifestyle." I don't spend time on OnlyFans so did not check to see if her page is still active.

On a side note, while I wish NHRA was more transparent about dsqs, penalties, etc. for things that happen on the track, should they really need to put out a press release when they deny a sponsorship from what is a pretty questionable choice for a fairly unknown driver? If all of the sudden they ban Peak or Scag, I could see the need to say why, but is this really worthy of an explanation?

Let me throw this out there for s**ts and giggles. What would people say if I offered up the theory that a fellow competitor, maybe one running in the TAD class and perhaps jealous of her and all the attention she's been getting, complained to the right Brass Hat at NHRA about the sponsorship and suddenly NHRA suddenly decided "oops, we can't have that trash site sponsoring one of our competitors..." after being fine with it for 2 years ??

It sure wouldn't be the first time someone complained to the NHRA about a fellow racer for personal reasons.
