That is a good point. So after all these years of everyone running canard wings, because, well, "everyone else does it", those things may not have been doing shit, and may even have slowed the cars down a tiny bit?
It sure doesn't seem the canopy does a thing aerodynamically either, but of course they are likely a big improvement safety-wise to keep fire and debris out of the cockpit.
The canopy cars have a wicker bill at the back of the canopy that creates drag and makes them equal to the non canopy cars, supposedly.
