Word is matt is out at DSR and it is up in the air on who will get the seat.

I have a few i am rooting for that I think would do a great job for Don.

Love to see Treble get it.

This on dragbike.com:

Dragbike Live has confirmed that Matt Smith 2007 Prostock Motorcycle Champion and the 2009 DSR Prostock Motorcycle rider was released today from the team. DSR confirms as of right now there is not a PSM Team or program at DSR.

So no PS/M at all for DSR? :(

Why not you? Did you retire?

:D;):) You only have about 14 kabillion passes under your saddle.

I know I am not allowed to be negitive against Matt Smith on here, but it is interesting that with the resorces they have / had at DSR last year, that they didnt win an event.

Tartaglia is pretty damn smart. Add in the crew of Neck and Tom and that is a lot of talent prepping a bike for a whole year that had no wins.

As far as me riding?

Well we have 2 JR Dragsters now that my daughters drive and that is been really fun. Both had a few good weekends last year and it had been great.

My buddy Jason Clampit has had me ride his Buell a little last year so I have been doing some bike racing still.

I was pretty fortunate last year to have a fellow JR dad offer up his S/G car, and we ran a few 1/8 mile bracket races and got my S/G license. I think the plan is to do a handful of Divisionals and Nationals (as it fits around the JR schedules) Thanks Bob Pratt!

"IF" they return, I would like to see Treble get the ride... Craig is a great rider and is very good for his sponsors. Just like Whit, he was always talking about his distributors when he had Matco on board... Additionally, look at what he and his team did this year without any major funding.

You've done yourself well, Donnie. Here and there. I for one appreciate it.

I believe Matt will race if he really wants to, with or without funding from DSR. Guys (and you gals too,) with a wrench and a desire to run are really good at that kind of thing.

Way to kill one of the best threads in a while

This was a "best thread" in your mind?

We've had a history lesson about Shoe's driving days, with input from Shoe; a discussion on alternative equipment sources regarding nitro powerplants, with one of the originators chiming in; a helluva Finals race that had some great observations from the members here.....

Two  arguing in public about what sounds like an easy issue to fix (one sends the other money, one sends the other one a trophy that neither of them wants to have anything to do with).

That's makes a good thread Chris?
