I know 16 floppers were dragged up to the line, and Hagan was shut off with a fuel leak, so no time, no run... nice first run there, everyone was twenties or teens, except Stinky and Papa John, both early click offs. Princess was low with a point one zero two (a mid 4.7 for those 1000 foot impaired) By the way NICE PASS by Bode 4.184 @297.35 ...
Yes, I know only 14 pipe racks dragged to the line. BUT; Chrisman and the GREEK are both ahead of LD, Ant, and Shoe... and Luigi is in the field also.
Don't know about P/S except AJ is one, Edwards two, Johnny Gray is Three, and 22 cars made passes...
Right now, the score is tied.... Cars One, Rain One... and Friday hero's runs are in the books.

Think it's time that they Book in 16 in each Nitro class, and pay $X to each car per pass on all three days, with a bonus for low ET each session and bonus to win and runner up. screw points, screw championship, 'call a spade a shovel' and be done with it.
and yes Joe, there will still be enough half dressed women for you to take pictures of!!!!!!!

Brainerd is a hell of alot of fun..yet a real pain the ass financially. The town rapes the racers staying in hotels. The last time I stayed in Brainerd it was a four nite minimum at $125 a nite. I started driving to St Cloud for a hotel. Any rate, I have to say the teams that are picking races..choose Brainerd last.

Motel rate jumps are not exclusive to Brainerd. We went to Indy in 94 and tried to locate a room. One that was in the Best Western chain had a couple left but they were one twenty something so I decided to look further even though I really thought I might be without a room for the night. Down the road was another Best Western and they had rooms at lower seventies...and the lady behind the counter was pissed when I told her how much the other place wanted. She said they were under instructions not to raise rates as rooms got short but the other place had already been called on the carpet for doing so. They see the chance to hold you up....and they oblige.

Full, yes but as usual the bottom is cars that rarely make a full pass and if they do it's no where close to the top. Sad but true, it is a sign of the times.

as far as turning into a WWF... I never said ANYTHING about Fixing Races.... I said just book in the cars and PAY Them for each Pass, with Bonus for Round Wins and Low ET... the more you win, the more you make, the better you run, the more you make.
Booked in Shows worked for the sport for Years, Tice paid the Top Ten Appearance Money for years, just to get Wally's goat. It's called honestly PAYING the people that bring in the crowds...

If the truth were told, racers would agree with you. The event is a 'destination' race and has never drawn like other events. It's not on the way to any other event on the schedule. I'm sure it's a lot of fun, but I'll bet it's more of a pain and expense than the racers would want to admit.

there were 16 in fc and tf.....some with less than 3 qualifying attempts.
brainerd has drawn 17-19 in each class in previous years; very similar to almost
every other national event.
bench racing sat. night discussing diehl/schriefer/wyatt as no shows, the
topic of ceramic brakes was mentioned? .......cost to equip almost a wash
vs. 1st rnd. loser money, or less if not qual..........at least wyatt we knew
of is faced with this expense; the other two, maybe?
