I read the thread on here about the slide valve and even read Kloeber's article
in Competition Plus about TF fuel systems. What I didn't catch is who invented
the thing.

Since AFT makes a slide valve, I have a feeling Steve Brooks will answer this
question.
 
Bob Brooks and Don Jackson. Don currently owns Don Jackson Engineering (DJE) who makes fuel regulators and a new line of fog nozzles for fuel cars.
 
Doh! I re-read Kloeber's article and he states that AFT was the first to make a
slide valve (as far as he knows). I don't know how I missed that...
 
Tom - in actuality, the slide valve was invented in 1490 by an anonymous Flemish instrument maker. It's that long thingie that sticks out in front of a trombone!
