wonder if khalid mite have even been the instigator? (former teammate)
pretty cool move by all involved (clapping hands)

Good move for both teams. If AJR can't get a big time sponsor next year it open the door for AJ to return to DSR next year

I don't think Alan is interested in joining a team. My guess is he wants his own team where he has complete control instead of reporting to someone

And we all know that the "DSR" that is known today likely would not be had it not been for AJ involvement. Even the "Don" will likely admit that. It's really disturbing that the brightest mind in top fuel can't secure sponsorship funding to complete the season. If I was a team owner I likely would be staying up nights wondering the future of the sport!

What's more disturbing is that it's these same teams that drove the cost of nitro racing into the stratosphere in the first place. In a couple years' time when there's only 10-12 TF cars at each event, will NHRA and the teams start to think about how they can seriously lower the cost of racing. AA Dale was on to something.....

I noticed in the entry list besides Baloshi being taken off, Cory is also gone, so now there are only 15 entered.

Hopefully somebody will show up at the last minute so there'll be a full field. Kinda suck to not have a full field in one of the nitro divisions.

AJPE and DSR are direct competitors in the nitro parts business.

I don't think so. I believe DSM provides parts only to DSR. maybe there was some parts sold to Tasca Racing last year, but that's all I am aware of. Don can speak to that, if he reads this post.

My understanding was the largest part of Don's expansion plans was to the parts manufacturing business. It would only make sense he is doing this to sell more parts.

I didn't know that. So that makes three major manufacturers: BAE, AJPE, and DSM. Cool, competition is good.

Not their rods, as I picked up an AJPE rod from the souvenir stand when I was at Epping. Unless that has switched recently.
Dude, do you know how many rods everyone goes through? Those rods could be from 2 years ago.

Zizzo, Rapisarda & Tuttle run DSM parts as well.
