Damn you are bitter about this rule! 2008 is a long time away and most everyone would have a different car by then anyway. This just helps the class keep the look that IHRA wants. I think it's a good enough lead time.
Those aerodynamic PS cars entered the class out of a competitive necessity. Cannon's Stude or the Willy's were just so much cooler. As were Castellana's Camaro and 57.
I agree there are too many 63 Corvettes. I'd like to see Cannon build one of those new Cudas like Critchley has. Those look pretty sweet. He also could build a new corvette or viper too. Those aren't PS legal.

Better enjoy the GTO while you can because the IHRA has opted to disallow body styles legal for Pro Stock in 2008. Guess what? Scotty's building a 1963 Corvette. Just what the class needs...another one.
