I am not going to form an opinion either way on this topic because my opinion doesn't matter, but I DO have a opinion to bring up to all of the people that have commented on how Tony should "grow up" and move on...

Jay, this isn't the first time For DSR. Remember last year when he DIDN'T have to obey the shut down command from Rick? He should have been disqualified and Doug would have won the championship.

I have my opinion. These folks (DSR) don't think they have to play by the same rules the rest of us do. I'm glad the NHRA finally stood up to them. They should have done it last year. That $20,000 fine last year was a joke. He should have been disqualified like the rest of us would have been.

Funny, NHRA can't afford to put up simple red and green lights at the scales but one of the NHRA senior staff can afford to buy a Bentley.

The lights at scales are a track set up. Not all NHRA National Event tracks have them, so if you want to point a finger at how money is spent by whom, then your finger should be pointed at the track owner, but since this has absolutely nothing to do with who has/makes money, your point is moot.

Since Professional racers know that they have to meet minimum weight requirements to advance to the next round after winning a round in eliminations, and the only way to show they meet that requirement is to weigh the car after the round, having a light system at the scales is also a moot point.

A light system might help a tow vehicle driver properly do his or her job, but I'd think anyone doing that job should have been instructed to only bypass scales if waved past scales by the tech people at the scales.

This whole thing, as I see it, is about taking personal responsibility for your actions. I guess that stuff was last done in previous generations since everything seems to be someone else's fault nowadays.

It's almost funny how much a generation or two can change common sense into pending litigation or finger pointing instead of taking your own lumps.

If I had been driving a car for my father's team and bypassed the scales, I can guarantee every bit of his ranting wouldn't have been directed at me rather than at some NHRA official in an effort to cover my sorry behind. I can also guarantee he would've concluded with something like "That's Life Kid."

I've also learned that everything that goes wrong doesn't stem from a culprit. There are actually lots of times where circumstance is to blame rather than one party.

To paraphrase, Schtuff Happens!

When I saw the cameras shooting the disagreement between Don Schumacher and Graham Light, all I could think of was a call coming from Dallas for Graham Light to star in the next Southwest Airlines commercial...

"Wanna Get Away?".....

Now that is freakin hillarious
