early indications say that the new engine will make more then competitive HP
I just wonder about the aero of the car. I have read that the wind tunnel says it is just as good as the Pontiacs at 200mph but I STILL wonder

Only thing that would make pro stock any better would be a reher and morrison throwback scheme on a colbalt to go against it

Did you all know that Darin Morgan, the top cylinder head guy for Reher and Morrison , is one of the engine experts working on this new Ford 500" engine?

I read an interview with Larry Morgan where he admitted duplicating the valve angles and port designs from the Dodge HEMI. That should get him close. I like Larry a lot, but remember...he wasn't consistently competitive with his Dodge efforts missing several shows each year. He lost engine customers (Max Naylor, V Gaines, Rick Jones) due to a lack of qualifying power. Just assuming Larry will be able to make competitive horsepower is a stretch...based on his prior performance. That said, I'd love to see him and Robert Patrick make some fields this year.
And yes...a Reher & Morrison entry would be perfect.
Darin Morgan has not worked at Reher and Morrison for some time now. But he did head up development of the new wedge head.
Larry Morgan may have missed a show or 2 this year, but also won a race (Vegas I believe) and was qualifying mid-pack pretty consistently late in the year. If he's already making more power than his Dodge stuff, as has been reported, he should be pretty stout come February. He's supposedly testing at PBIR tomorrow. Of course the public may never know the results of those tests. Time will tell.
