RIP John Rodeck

Wow, yesterday while driving I was thinking about my Drag boat days in the 70s-80s and his engines along with the Aris.
RIP John.

Traffic accident. Such a shame, he was one of the nicest, most genuine people I ever met.

And he sure helped a lot of people go faster.

There was this one night in Chicago when he, Pa Johnson A.J. and I were all stuck in O'Hare, what a great memory.

Sending positive energy to Sue.....

The wealth of knowledge and friendliness of John was amazing. I used to love watching him lead late evening rebuilds , directing and educating the younger guys on Rance Mc Daniels car and in the Johnson's pit and many others. Bob Brooks was usually around , and those guys were smiling and laughing. John was always willing to engage a serious fan in discussion. Long after most of the veteran tuners had left the track, John seemed genuinely happy working on the car, interacting and teaching the next generation of crew members. He reminded me a lot of Bernie Fedderly, and that is meant as the ultimate compliment.
