John is the reason I got my corvette into drag racing.
When I first got a computer and a internet service in 2001, I immediately joined corvetteforum.com. I would see his posts and avatar and it had his red '96 with Weld Prostar rims doing a burnout at E-town. All that white smoke coming out from the back tires.....

I just thought it was THE neatest most badass C4 I ever saw and wanted mine to look like his. And this is mine:
It pales in comparison to his beautiful machine.
He would post about the East Coast Corvette Challenge all corvette drag racing series at Englishtown and I wished there was something like that in SoCal.
Well, it did happen and I would go race my vette at Palmdale and Fontana. I got hooked and have had so much fun.
Thank you John for inspiring me all the way out here on the West coast 3000 miles away.

Sad news indeed. Thoughts and prayers to those we lost this week. They say bad things happen in threes, hopefully this is it for awhile.
