Wow! I had no idea he was sick again. RIP Don.

If memory service me, wasn't he an early contributor to the board?
He splashed around in here quite a bit for a guy of his stature.
He also promised no more diving after a blatant one in Seattle back in 2004.
Those two things made me a big DSR fan.
RIP and prayers for the family.

I was so sad when I saw this today.
What a racer, innovator, business man, and most of all, a gentleman.
Never knew him, Definitely saw him race,
This news really hurts.
Condolences and prayers to Tony, family, friends and employees.

Wow, this is a shock. I remeber Don coming onto these boards in the early days. A super successful guy who just loved racing.

He changed the sport in so many ways, and his contribution cannot be overstated - both from a competition perspective and from the human side. 19 Championships in 25 years and over 300 Wally's - that is simply incredible.

RIP Don.

Incredible man in Nhra. On par with Jack Rousch, Rick Hendrick and Richard Childress. If only we could live the life he lived. RIP Don.

I always thought he would have been an outstanding NHRA board member. I saw him and Stardust at OCIR in the late 60's. Damn that car ran hard. Godspeed Don.

R.I.P Don, Thank you for all you did for the sport of NHRA Drag Racing, Enjoy the fishing up there with the Big Guy
