The Drag racing community lost another one, “Big John” Stanton ( Tucson ) passed away last week , He was best known for his yellow Pennzoil Cifca Funny car . Big John has been racing for over 50 years, Nitro Nostaglia driver Mike Savage teamed up with Big John to run in cifca for many years, when Mike got the call from Jim broome to run nitro nostaglia it opened up a seat to drive & I jumped at the chance. Its been a honor to drive for Big John for the last 15 years,driving was fun but just being around Big John made it all worth while . We miss you already Big John !!!
