Coming off a semi-final appearance last week in Milan, Mich., Smith is looking to make it two in a row this weekend at Budds Creek, MD.
Smith qualified for his first IHRA Pro Stock race last year in Budds Creek in nearly 12 years and became the race winner that same weekend. As the IHRA Pro Stock defending race winner of this weekend’s Torco Race Fuels President’s Cup Nationals, Smith is hoping to keep his momentum going strong.
“Last weekend was pretty good,” said Smith. “You never know when this car is going to step up and run a number. Last weekend it did and I hope we can get it to do the same this weekend. We won this race last year and it was an amazing feeling. I hope to pull off a good weekend again in Budds Creek.”
With only two races left on the IHRA Schedule watch out for Smith to bring his domination on strong at the end.
