Rickie Smith, driver of the Skull Gear/Torco Race Fuels IHRA Pro Stock Chevrolet is ready to get back at it this weekend at the Skull Shine Sooner Nationals in Tulsa, Okla.
Smith has tested his Mountain Motor car a time or two since the last race and is on a mission to win this weekend.
“We have found a thing or two in the last few weeks that has helped us a lot,” said Smith. “I have been racing my Pro Mod car around home and have won some races. Hopefully we will bring some of that with us to Tulsa.”
Last time out Smith qualified well, but lost first round on his signature trademark, a holeshot. This weekend he is determined to do much better.
Standing seventh in the IHRA Pro Stock points but only a mere 17 points out of the top-five, Smith is ready to gain ground this weekend.
