Rickie Smith Suffers Motor Loss in the Semi’s

Rickie Smith and his Pro Stock Skull Gear Chevy Cobalt made up ground this weekend at IHRA’s Milan, MI race.

Smith only qualified in the 12th position, but made some serious headway on raceday. Running incredible elapse times and winning rounds was something Smith was determined to make happen this past weekend.

Advancing to the semi-finals before hurting his motor during the third round run, Smith looked as if he was on his way to a win once again.

“We had a good weekend,” said Smith. “We finally got the car running better and things started going our way for once. We will get this motor worked on and hopefully we can keep it up next weekend at Budds Creek. We won it last year and will try and do it again this year.”

Smith is your defending race winner this coming weekend in Budds Creek, MD, so watch out for him to try and repeat this year.
