reading different articles on this, seems the focus of this pending sale is on nascar, with mention of rick still very much involved.

I also thought he was still tied up in lawsuits from selling one of his NASCAR franchises and a disagreement over the wording of when the sale was to occur.

I'd say it's a good move based on his NASCAR performance record. But isn't his inhouse engine program also doing the
TF engine refresh during the between races, and housing the entire NHRA operation? Lots of questions about what's going To happen
in the remaining race operations.
We can only hope this wasn't a last-minute decision out of desperation.

I am bullish on wanting to build a three-car team. I believe in the France family and the direction of the sport and I want the rest of the shareholders and industry to know that I believe the charters are worth $75 million or more,” he explained.

Puchyr’s keeping it smooth, though, as Rick Ware stays on as a partner, Cody Ware keeps driving the No. 51, and all RWR employees are safe. As the Quaker State 400 at EchoPark Speedway looms, this shakeup’s got everyone talking about who’s got the edge in NASCAR’s high-stakes chess game.

One of the founders of Spire Motorsports has entered an agreement to purchase the NASCAR team owned by Rick Ware and is jumping back into the stock car series because he believes the current charters are grossly undervalued.

T.J. Puchyr, who in 2018 alongside Jeff Dickerson launched the Spire team to take over the charter that Furniture Row Racing could not unload, told The Associated Press on Thursday he and Rick Ware Racing have a deal for him to take over Ware’s organization next season.

In his deal with Ware, Puchyr will keep Ware on board as a partner, also keep Ware’s son, Cody, in the No. 51 Ford, and retain all of the current RWR employees. Ware’s current second charter is leased to RFK Racing, but Legacy Motor Club made a legal claim that it had entered an agreement to buy that charter next season.

Now, Puchyr and Ware are confident the second charter currently leased to RFK will be returned to their team in 2027, allowing Puchyr to expand the organization. He wants to buy a third charter that makes the organization a three-car Cup team by 2027.

Any word on drag racing plans going forward

Ken.
I would think so, but I found this to ponder:

Sale of NASCAR team

On June 26, 2025, it was announced that T. J. Puchyr, who co-founded Spire Motorsports in 2016, entered an agreement to purchase RWR's NASCAR team. The deal will retain Rick Ware as a partner and Cody ware as the driver of the No. 51 car, as well as all of the current RWR employees.[4]

It sites just the NASCAR team sold = but IDK what we'll find out forthcoming.
FWIW the RWR site is down & "under construction" ATM....

Just one question remains; instead of the chicken & the egg, which came first??
Drag Racin' or Soap Operas???? LOL!!
~:)~

Doesn’t make much sense to sell the NHRA teams since he just bought a second operation from JFR to run Schumacher. This NHRA investment could have been part of a strategic move by RWR to divest from NASCAR, pending the sale of NASCAR charters. At least that’s what I’m hoping.
