Reverse Sexism?

I find it interesting that Paris Hilton served barely any jail time, Nicole Richey and Lindsay Lohan served none, and Britney Spears is still out running around....but Kiefer Sutherland gets sentenced to 48 days.

he was already on probabtion too, that may have played a part in it

wasnt this his second DUI conviction?? and weren't both times his BAC was over .15?? not sure but i think so

where Keifer differs from the 4 bimbos of the apocalypse is that he has stood up like a man and is taking full responsibility for his actions and isn't running away to some rehab clinic.

"I'm very disappointed in myself for the poor judgment I exhibited recently, and I'm deeply sorry for the disappointment and distress this has caused my family, friends and co-workers on `24' and at 20th Century Fox," Sutherland said in a statement.
ABC News: '24' Star to Do 48 Days: Kiefer to Jail

He is more concerned with his co workers on "24" than he is with his own inconvenience over this matter:

"Kiefer made clear to us at the time of his arrest that his first concern was the welfare of those he worked with and that he intended to do whatever was necessary to prevent shutting down the show because of his situation," the statement said. "He told us that even if he had to sacrifice more time in custody in order to protect the show and the jobs of those who work with him, he would do so. From what occurred today, it is evident he is a man of his word,"

Because the actor was previously convicted of DUI in 2004, he faces a mandatory minimum sentence of four days in jail if convicted for this latest arrest.

Sutherland is also currently serving a five-year probation term for the prior DUI. If a judge deems the actor violated those terms, "Sutherland could get up to 60 days in jail or worse, depending on varying circumstances," according to DUI lawyer Lawrence Taylor.

Court records first obtained by CelebTV.com also reveal that Sutherland has previous arrests as well.

In 1989, he was arrested for DUI and carrying a concealed and loaded weapon. In a deal with prosecutors, he pleaded no contest to alcohol-related reckless driving, and the other charges were dropped.

In 1993, he was arrested for DUI, and again, pleaded out the same way. He was given the option of serving 12 days in jail or performing 211 hours of community service, and opted for the latter.

by my count, this makes #4. He didn't voluntarily accept a jail sentence, I'm sure he followed the advice of his attorney. As far as the bimbos involved, their sentences were farces and a waste of taxpayers money....it's not reverse sexism.

My loser brother in law got his 3rd last year, couldnt drive for a year, and had to pay $10k in fines and court cost. Hope you enjoyed those beers.

Hey Mike,

I had a good laugh at your "four bimbos of the apocalypse" line! :D
Glad you liked it but I can't take credit for it. The afternoon drive guys on the local AM talkradio show (KFI 640AM) have been referring to the 4 (ahem) ladies by this term for quite some time. It is a fitting description.

I read this morning that Michelle Rodriguez, of Lost fame, was sentenced to 6 months in the pokey........
