Was playing around on MG's website and it appears all of reserved is sold out saturday already. Just seems hard to beleive, already.

Good ole Maple Grove, I haven't been there in a couple of years (I have vacation scheduled this year). I hope everyone in attendance stays dry and has a good time.

Found out there are still some reserved left, not much tho. I play it out day by day for the Grove, since it usually rains every year i buy the tickets based on the weather forecast. Is there a mater meeting on sat??

Looks like another wet one at Maple Grove. They've got to think about drastically moving the date or start sacrificing more goats to the weather gods. Only sunday looks decent

Friday: Showers and thunderstorms likely... New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Friday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely..New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Saturday: Showers and thunderstorms likely...New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Saturday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Moving the date would be a good thing because if it is not raining it is toooo hot to draw crowds. Maybe back to mid or late september is the way to go.

Now it never rains at the Grove, thats why i dont buy my tickets anymore in advance and just play it day by day, that place has a permanent cloud over it,then again NHRA schedules it during hurricane season too lol.

Don't know how close to Mohnton you are, but I have driven down to Reading from Rhode Island and watched the rain fall and the parking turn into a mud pit. I have loved watching racing at Maple Grove... class facility from what I have seen. But I have also watched a lot of jet-dryer races there.

Has any race been PPD more than Reading over the past decade?

Doubt it. Im about 1 hr ish from rain city Maple Grove. looks like im not going this year again forecast is getting worse. Come on NHRA move the date again.

We've had rain/thunderstorms here every night this week..I doubt the weekend will be exempt  I'll be sure to take my raingear with me.

Nhra should throw raingear in with the pre purchase of Reading tickets. LOL

I am sure it is not a laughing matter for NHRA. The only two events I can reasonably drive to are Englishtown and Reading. I will continue to drive to NJ around Father's Day but with the weather track record at Reading I will not schedule the weekend, book the hotel and drive 7 hours with the proven strong statistical likelihood that it will rain and rain. Don't know what it is about Mohnton in late August, but the track record is beyond doubt at this point.
