Not according to Troy Coughlin. SGMP, today.

Definitely not weak. Not sure what conditions they were racing in and how it would affect a nitrous car but that's still not there in the ET department compared to what Castellana was running.

We've only had one race with these turbos so I'm really anxious to see how they do in Charlotte.

Mid 80s, 40-50% humidity and barometric pressure around 30.00. Elevation at Adel, GA is about 230 feet above sea level. You're right; even a turbo car running 262 out the door should have been quicker than 5.90. And Castellana - well, what can you say. The guy's got it goin' on.

Right. If it was consistent with what they were running last year, it would've been a 5.75 or so.

VERY happy for Troy Coughlin and Steve Petty. I've know Steve for years and he is a turbo tuning genius! NHRA WILL be concerned about this!

Frankie Taylor thinks he is getting close to handling twin Turbo Power in his ride !
Make all the power you want but keeping those wheels on the ground seems to be the trick !
Yes that fast in a Sprung Chassis Car sounds exciting !
A bunch of tweaking going on right now !

That's impressive, but help me with the math here guys. 262 is a FAST TAFC pass, and I believe the FCs are a bunch lighter. How much power are these PM cars making?

~3,800 from what I've heard. Maybe someone else has a more-concrete number.

That would be about right. Mike Moran, whose 3000 pound Monte Carlo once ran 250MPH, was reported to have dynoed at 3600HP. But, what the back half giveth to the turbo cars, the front half taketh away....in Coughlin's case, about 4 tenths on his 262 pass.

And when somebody gets it figured out, NHRA will be right there to take it away from him...

Just like PSM.... NOT!
