Palm Beach International Raceway

Does anyone out there have a list of teams committed yet?

Tasca III will be there, and Force told Joe Castello (WFO Radio) that they'll be there as well. Beyond that, I haven't heard/read anything official.

The Shoe also rises.

Happy New Year and good to see you here again, Don.

Got one of your blower belts from a late 60s or early 70s Winternationals I'd like you to autograph.

Yes, really.

Doc

And it's on live timing by 1320go
A good way to see all of the numbers, weather, and past runs.
It costs me $39.95 yearly to see all of the member tracks.

Anybody know if LVMS is having the Nitro Blastoff or PS Showdown this year?

I attended the last year I lived in Vegas (2009) and the Blastoff field was slim to none...

IMO this 'test' is so right in so many ways.

Mike, you got that right. The facility is awesome for this purpose. Not enough seating for an NHRA event, but for testing, it is perfect and usually the weather is too.

I hope to be there again this year.

I agree Mike....although my reason for going was St Louis Cardinal's Spring Training. What fantastic weather and accomodations. I flew in to Miami and then rented a Chrysler Convertible and drove up US Hwy 1 to Jupiter. I can't wait to go back. I'll make sure I get to the track this time.

OK, let's tally...

Kalitta Motorsports: All 4 cars?
(Kalitta, Grubnic, Arend & DeJoria)

DSR: All 7 cars?
(Schumacher, Massey, Brown, Capps, Beckman, Hagan & Gray)

JFR: All 5/6 cars?
(John, Hight, Neff, Ashley, Courtney and/or Brittany licensing TopFuel)

Is Bob Tasca III the only independent? No ProMods?

So we've got the possibility of seeing 17 Nitro cars in attendance. Looks like the track is booked from Jan. 14th through the 24th.

Add 2 AJR and 2 MLR TF cars and take away one from JFR as Ashley isn't racing this year.

Is AJR planning on being back at PBIR this month? They were just testing there before Xmas. If there are actually 20 cars participating in the "open" portion of the testing, it seams that a two hour window (5pm - 7pm) may indicate a single pass by each car on each day.
