Pro Camaro 2026 (3 Viewers)

I like how this went from Pro Camaro to Robert Hight.

I love that KB Titan and Elite went all in the save the class a few years back but now it just feels like two teams, Hatfields and McCoys, going at it. I'd like some different body styles, more teams and independent drivers in the mix. With so many car manufacturers moving away from cars, are they going to open up the years that are allowed or are we close to the Pro SUV class. I'm ready to drop a motor in my Ford Escape for testing :)

Speaking of Hatfields and McCoys, I was listening to the Life's a Drag podcast on the flight home last night, I want to hear more about the fight at the awards after party a few years ago between the Enders sisters and Kim Anderson. 😁

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away…. New Jersey to be exact, I worked for a NAPA auto parts dealer. Started as a driver out of high school, but moved to the counter after they saw I could understand the new fangled thingy called a computer. The book rack was still being used, but I liked the ‘puter . They sent me to the NJ Distribution center for a tour after a two day course on selling skills at a local hotel banquet room. It was humongous and to see auto parts roll down the multi story wheeled conveyor system in their bins after they were picked out of inventory was mesmerizing. This was 1984. Now Jegs and Summit are that big but NAPA was first. Ron Capps is lucky to have them.
Me too... NAPA auto parts in Nyack NY in the late 70s- early 80s... Went from being a driver to a counter guy, and loved using the books ( no computers yet).

As internet forum threads are prone to do, what starts out as related subjects often morphs into stuff that's unrelated. Especially in a thread like this one, on a subject that has absolutely, positively been talked to death to the point there's not even anything left to discuss.

I know there was an Elite/KB Titan dustup in Bristol over a wheel infraction on Enders' car. She was fined 5K and docked 100 points. Not sure if that's the same incident you're talking about - bad blood between those teams go all the way back to the photo of Erica standing nest to Greg's transporter. All 3 of those women are pretty vocal anyway.

No one in the grandstands watching.

I've never been a fan of the truck racing no matter what organization. In my life trucks are for towing and working, not racing.
The PST could have been a Jr P/S class with older chassis and smaller engine. At least it would've looked racy.

Pro Ute - I'm tapping out, sorry......But really I wonder why none of the German or Japanese manufacturers never got into Pro-Stock? The Germans got into IMSA and Toyota into Funny Car, but with the demise of the domestic models, I'd like to have seen a BMW 3 or 4 Series as a Pro-Stocker or a Honda Accord 2 door model as one.

Did NHRA ever talk to them about "hey, come join the fun"?

They probably feel the PS engine is ancient technology. Why would they want to come into restricted development and having to use others parts with zero innovation allowed. They play to win.

In 2002 I had a ford lightning , they were very fast at the big road courses in lap speeds, very respectable at the drag strip right off the show room floor, the thing that surprised me the most was how wheel it towed my friends off road race car and trailer, sure miss that hot rod 😎
