Just read over at DRO that after the final round, the NHRA tech department went over the Army car with a "fine tooth comb". Also says NHRA impounded the cylinder heads. WTF??!!!

Late...........Mitch

I'd like to know also...
This is TOP FUEL, basically an unlimited class (don't rip on me, I know there are rules that have to be followed)...

and the only thing I see in a quick scan of the '08 Rule Book pertaining to the HEADS, is the noted Valve Angles of 35* (+/-1*) on the Intake and 21* (+/-1*) on the Exhaust.

These are AJs heads, so I'm sure he knows the rules.

I think NHRA likes giving DSR some ****!

Larry

The inspection of the heads was in Sonoma. They took a head and inspected it. We find it funny. They can look at anything they want to look at and they will not find a thing. You also hit the nail on the head Larry. *************************

You must be having a ball with this one . I think it would really be enjoyable being able to anoy the santioning body when they find out your car is perfectly legal and its just a great team .

Dear NHRA competition Dept:

I found it....! Look... it's right here....

I found it in the trash can near an In-N-Out in Glendora....

Oh I also think it was Col Mustard, in the Library with the Candle stick too!

unreal guys!

And Don gets the last laugh by winning 8 events so far this year, i'm sure its real annoying to the NHRA to have to write the Don that winners pay check week in and week out for having the baddast hod rod on the planet.

Did the NHRA harass John Force like this in the 15 years he dominated FC? I remember one year in Phoenix when John dropped his pants saying he wasn't cheating, but other then that I don't recall one owner getting singled out.

I think they stripped his car once , then when they couldnt find anything they accused him of carrying some device so he stripped down to show them he wasnt .

I have a question; if you wrote a play about the Glendora gang, would it be comedy or tragedy?

It reminds me when the NFL was at war with Al Davis RE moving the Raiders from Oakland to LA. Rozelle still had to smile and hand the Lombardi trophy to Davis in front of the world. I would say it is a safe bet that NHRA will have to write more winner pay checks to Shoe before this season is over.

Did NHRA Tech request the inspection, or did another race team?

Steve - that's NINE, SO FAR - :D Record for wins in a year is (I think) Greg Anderson with 13?
Sarge and AJ only need to win five of the remaining eight races to smash that one - shouldn't be a problem! -

I think GA had 15 wins in 2005, but it is still possible for TS and AJ to tie or pass that.

Just another case of Graham NOT knowing what to look for...
Like his slice of "Humble Pie"......(For alot of reasons!-wink!)

It reminds me of the statement "They must be cheating, because we are and they run faster than us."

If they have nothing to hide then the team should welcome it to put bad feelings to rest. If you raced in that class don't you think it would be good to know they are keeping a watchfull eye out.

All the negative comments about NHRA checking them out are unwarranted. To fellow racers where one car continued to dominate it would be very frustrating if they weren't scrutinized at least once. I remember whenever we ran very well it was almost like a compliment straight from NHRA when tech showed up in our pit to pump the motor and give everything a thorough look-see. They never ran over and checked out the number 17 qualifier.
