that is a glitch!.......that cowie is unreal. pulls out another #1Q over noonan. wow.
paul lee to #1 in Q3 w/3.829 by .001 over capps 3.830. unbelievable. that team is ON FIYAAAA!!
The first 3 second funny car field **should** happen in Q4. We are at 14 right now with Bob Tasca and Dan Wilkerson yet to hit the mark. Jason Rupert and Blake Alexander also have good potential.
blake barely misses the 3's ...... d wilk with superb 3.92 in last ditch effort to get in.
torrence just misses 300 @ 660'
holy cow, pretty sure blake's 4.01 is 16th, tasca's 4.05 is 17th, along with rupert's 4.10 18th and hull 189th
wow, what a session.

Wow, Tasca misses the show? It can happen to the best of them, but that is still a big surprise. Especially with such good conditions all weekend so far.
I am disappointed that with a 14 car T/F field, that both #1 and #2 qualifiers don't get a 1st Rd bye. That should be automatic, I would think. But I guess the ladders have worked this way in recent years.
I’m thinking that this is the fastest funny car field since back in the laid back header days. If I remember correctly, at that point in time, was close to a full sub 4 second field (12-maybe 13/14 cars).

Hard to believe how incredible it was to watch Kenny Bernstein run 301mph seemingly not that long ago - and now Brittany Force runs 301mph in half that distance. Maybe it's just me but that feat seems like a really big deal. 0-301mph in 2.93 seconds. Lord have mercy; maybe they really do have 12,000 horsepower.
Well, give yourself some credit, it was still almost the fastest funny car field in history, lost by six thousandths. I think the fastest one was sometime in 2017.
i thought you called it perfectly. probably lesser odds it didn't happen.
darn it, tobler just couldn't get the right tune-up on jason's car. was hoping he would make the field.
congrats to spencer hyde. a few mores races and i predict jim will turn the wick up.
Wow, upset city in the nitro ranks. Way to go Clay, Brit, Tony and Langdon for TF semis. big thumbs up to Jim Head for giving Cruz a little extra time to get his car together after a thrash.
It was nice to hear someone sing the national anthem without butchering it or adding their vocal gymnastics to it. Congratulations Angel Demelis!!! You nailed it perfectly.
Which was surprising because the track not only had a day's worth of rubber laid down on it and the surface was 90 degrees which sounds ideal. Mid 3.60s and mid 3.80s should have popped up on the boards on all 4 passes. Always glad to see Clay do well; Jim Head's new guy, too.
Off the subject just for a moment - what the hell has happened to Erica Enders and her car? At the Gators her car shook like a dog crappin' a razor blade in E1. Her lights last weekend in AZ were .085, .032, .085 and .109 in qualifying and .108 in E1, where the car once again crapped a razor blade. She DID cut a good one today but the car said blah and appeared to bog out of the gate, costing her the race by .07. Dummy Pedregon blamed the loss on a lack of horsepower despite her trap speed being as high as everyone else other than Matt Hartford.
