that is a glitch!.......that cowie is unreal. pulls out another #1Q over noonan. wow.In a glitch in the matrix, 7 blown dragster qualified in Pomona and all are on the same side of the ladder. Positions 1, 5, 8, 9, 12, 13 and 16. Matt Cummings is in the 4th spot.
Hard to believe after all these years since the first ever "3", that it has not happened yet.The first 3 second funny car field **should** happen in Q4. We are at 14 right now with Bob Tasca and Dan Wilkerson yet to hit the mark. Jason Rupert and Blake Alexander also have good potential.
Wow, Tasca misses the show? It can happen to the best of them, but that is still a big surprise. Especially with such good conditions all weekend so far.blake barely misses the 3's ...... d wilk with superb 3.92 in last ditch effort to get in.
torrence just misses 300 @ 660'
holy cow, pretty sure blake's 4.01 is 16th, tasca's 4.05 is 17th, along with rupert's 4.10 18th and hull 189th
wow, what a session.
with 14 cars they want everyone to have an opponent round 1. Doing this only creates one by run later in round 2 instead of 2 if #1 and #2 get bys.Wow, Tasca misses the show? It can happen to the best of them, but that is still a big surprise. Especially with such good conditions all weekend so far.
I am disappointed that with a 14 car T/F field, that both #1 and #2 qualifiers don't get a 1st Rd bye. That should be automatic, I would think. But I guess the ladders have worked this way in recent years.
Hard to believe how incredible it was to watch Kenny Bernstein run 301mph seemingly not that long ago - and now Brittany Force runs 301mph in half that distance. Maybe it's just me but that feat seems like a really big deal. 0-301mph in 2.93 seconds. Lord have mercy; maybe they really do have 12,000 horsepower.Hard to believe after all these years since the first ever "3", that it has not happened yet.
Next time I’m keeping my mouth shut. The first 3 second funny car field **should** happen in Q4.
Well, give yourself some credit, it was still almost the fastest funny car field in history, lost by six thousandths. I think the fastest one was sometime in 2017.Next time I’m keeping my mouth shut.
finals last yearWas last year when the plane crash happened?
i thought you called it perfectly. probably lesser odds it didn't happen.Next time I’m keeping my mouth shut.
Clay is not here to play, No not today.I’ll be butched. Millican and Stewart in the final. Didn’t see that one coming. Let’s get it done Clay!
every car in both fuel finals had problems. They were all loaded up for bear. Driver's races.Clay is not here to play, No not today.
Which was surprising because the track not only had a day's worth of rubber laid down on it and the surface was 90 degrees which sounds ideal. Mid 3.60s and mid 3.80s should have popped up on the boards on all 4 passes. Always glad to see Clay do well; Jim Head's new guy, too.every car in both fuel finals had problems. They were all loaded up for bear. Driver's races.
