NTB Nitro Funny Car in Nations Capital
Washington DC: As a kickoff to National Engineers Week, Paul Richards Racing brought their 7000 hp National Tire & Battery sponsored nitro funny car to downtown Washington DC as part of the Discover Engineering Family Day at the National Building Museum this past Saturday.
The Paul Richards Racing team is involved with The Science of Racing, a program designed to address the waning interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics in the United States.
“This is our way of helping to bring the message to fans, students, parents and teachers about the demand in the US for scientists and engineers,” Said Paul Richards. “We try and teach how various scientific technologies and principles are used in all aspects of drag racing.
Located a few blocks from the White House the car was a hit with all who attended as there were crowds around the car all day with Paul Lee from The Science of Racing answering questions.
