I am so sorry to hear that. I feel for the family. We have so many heros that we have lost. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends. Pat, you will be greatly missed.

Dam**tt , that sucks! I'm sure his family all knows how we feel!

Damn!!! I'm so grateful I got to know Pat while he was working at Blue Max with my dad. I didn't realize until later how accomplished he was at driving and fabricating.
R.I.P. Ol bearded one!!

I have never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Foster in person, but he was one of those people that I "KNEW OUT OF RESPECT", meaning, Understanding and Embrassing the history of our sport like I do, He was a "LEGEND" of Drag Racing that I respect because he had BEEN THERE..AND DONE THAT! I am sorry to hear of his passing and wish his family God's strength to cope with their loss.

Godspeed Mr. Foster!

RIP Pat...we know you're up there with Jungle,Lew"Brutus " Arrington,Al Hoffman, and others having a blast, and driving the classic funny cars of old, under the lights and on 100% nitro....

What can I say? I'm still not over losing Hofmann and now another one of my heros is gone. I never got to meet Pat (always wanted to) but I really admired him. This guy drove everything and did it well. I remember when I was at NHRA Columbus race in 2006, they had McEwen's 78 car and the Jade Grenade on display. I must have looked at those two cars for over an hour. Foster's craftsmanship on those cars was awesome; such beauty. I had really hoped that he would make a recovery and I would get to meet him someday, I guess that will have to wait. My best to Pat's family and friends.

What a fitting tribute at the WDIFL site. To those of you who knew Pat, my condolences. To those of you, like me, who knew who he was, and knew some of his wonderful accomplishment's, be glad we have our memories. Next time around we can shake his hand.

Getting old(er) is not something we all look forward to. However, sometimes it has it's plus side. Mine being I got to see Pat drive all of those cars in the tribute.

R.I.P.

Jay

Hard to take!
Little John, and now Pat in just a few weeks. Those two, along with Woody and Long set the very high standards for builders that, sadly, is seldom acheived today.
And Foster was more than just a decent shoe.
