Yes. Today. It is locked into the computer countdown system which has already engaged.

Sorry just saw this. Yes picks deadline doesn't change. I would have to be watching every Friday qualifying to see if it gets in, in order to change a deadline if needed. I don't get paid that much

Could we please go back to the old rules? I have been making my picks before the first qualifying session because they were the old rules, and I believe that should still be in place, and that's what I stick to. In sport you don't watch the first qtr before you put your tips in; it shouldn't be any different here. If your driver doesn't qualify, tough luck, IMO.

PJ, please leave the rules where they are now. Any changes would just cause confusion. This is drag racing, not the same as stick & ball sports.

It has been thought about and debated many times over the years.
The couple of main points that we haven't
-Getting the coding right again. When we have tried to make time adjustments in the past, it goes all crazy. The original coder is no longer with us and able to help out
-Ya'll hate change around here We would have tons of people missing the deadline. My inbox would be flooded
-The people who tend to wait are the ones who forget and end up missing a deadline, then messaging me to try to get back in. Short of the occasional DNQ by a big name, I'm not sure that qualifying changes that many people's picks

With all that said, If there is enough interest, and it would need to be overwhelming. I have no issue trying it for next year. I actually favor making picks before qualifying. Just know that it would likely come with some bumps along the way

PJ, I would prefer to leave it the way it is. I think having 1 round of qualifying gives everyone a chance of having all 5 of their picks qualified.
I missed 1 race last year because I didn't hit the "DONE". I can only blame myself for doing that. Everyone knows when the deadline is, it doesn't change from race to race so I don't see any problem.

• This isn't NHRA so please don't change the rules mid-season.
• If you were to change the rules do it between seasons.
• No matter what the rules are we all have a equal opportunity with our picks.
• Let's not complicate PJ's life.

i didn't even know there were rules, or that there were rules and they changed. i make my picks for next race usually after looking at results of
most recent race, otherwise i forget, and i've done that a time or two over the years.

nope still midnight, your time zone. There are people that adjust their time zone in order to buy more time. I just checked the next couple of races and that's what the settings are for

My deadline moved to 901pm,used to say 259 am. What changed???

Just looked at it and mine shows the deadline as 6:01pm (Pacific time) tomorrow. All the rest of the year the same time. Always showed 11:59 pm before. Just checked my profile and it shows Pacific time as it should.
Which is it, don't want to miss out?
