When was the last time NHRA did not have a full field in a fuel class on race day?

Part 2 of that question is; had it ever happened prior to 2007?

NHRA's 'results' for Saturday TF qualifiers shows a full 16-car field plus two that didn't qualify.... Or are you speaking of a different race?

That is so confusing!! Because Zizzo qualified at the number 7 spot and Kalitta the 10 spot. I wonder what happened to those two guys... Well TF is about to come out, we shall see.

Spring Dallas race 2000

That year had 4 events that didn't have full fields.
Spring Dallas, Fall Dallas, Spring Houston and Etown
