Looks like the Nostalgia guys got screwed big time. Thanks NHRA

I came here to say the same thing. I was looking forward to seeing them run more than anything.

On the first attempt, Horan went into the sand and there was over an hour delay to get the net replaced and get his upside down NFC out of the trap.

There was a big oil down at the end of the day after a few pair and there wasn't enough time to run the rest of them because of the curfew.

Today, there where both Sportsmans and Pro delays and they were moved to the end of the day to allow an extra round of Sportsman eliminations, due to projected rai tomorrow.

NHRA is actually trying to ensure that the regular competitors got to run, rather than run exhibition cars.

Sucks, but the way it goes when your an exhibition class. I really feel sorry for the Nostalgia Pro Stock guys who all came out from the Midwest.

Best to catch the March Meet. That's going to be an event worth watching.

The Pro Stock cars actually ran their full session, right before NFC!

They were originally scheduled to run again today, but the aggressive "Rain" schedule bumped them out!

Man, I saw that on the occasionally working NHRA.TV
What the spectators don't understand in these teams loaded up with all their race gear and took time off work to be there. I know know what a hassle it is to load up to go to a Summit race with my little dragster. I really felt bad for them.

In all fairness, I really think NHRA wanted to help showcase the nostalgia cars and competition because they see growing interest in the spectators based on the draw the March Meet and reunions have been getting over the years. And for the guys/gals that I know that were there who own and race the nostalgia cars really appreciated being asked to participate. There are many others who race these kinds of cars that cannot afford the time/money for these events will also benefit from this opportunity.

Recently, in the last couple of years, there has been a big resurgence of the N/TF cars in the midwest and other nostalgia classes through out the rest of the nation. Take the time to check out some of those other events. You just might be impressed.
