No more alcohol categories at Sonoma national or divisional?

First the alcohol cars were removed from the national event a couple years ago, now the divisional event too?
Why?

I stopped attending Sonoma because of this.

And I was hoping they'd have TA back this weekend. I guess that makes the ESPN3 footage an easy and quick one to watch, just like in Denver last week.

Division 7 has an "extra" divisional event on the calerdar each year, so they rotate the alcohol cars. Last year I think it was Tucson they skipped. But unless something has happened that I don't know, they will be back at the Div. next year and will skip somewhere else.

On crappy tracks yes, but when you're running a good track (especially a National Event track) a division race can be really beneficial.

Yeah I agree, but when they keep stacking Div. races on top of Natl. events then wonder why the Alky car counts are so low...

Isn't Tucson now IHRA anyway, so I guess they will skip it forever, or am I mistaken?
